If you run the game windowed noborder it can no longer minimize but it may still lose keyboard/mouse focus. If you have started running any new programs in the background recently try closing them out. Check Task Manager for anything running that you don't expect to see. Run a virus scan to make sure there's nothing running that shouldn't be.
