• Bot play not always fair to humans

  
  
  The game can be addicting, but if you play against the bots, it can be annoying as well. The basic level bot (greenie) is fairly easy. The next level (lexi) is exponentially harde. This pattern continues to the fourth (and most unreasonable) level. There is no intermediate level of play. If there were, I probably wouldn't be writing this review.A very annoying problem is that Greenie bot often plays words that the game admits are not even in its own Letterpress Dictionary (sitten, for example), but there is nothing you can do about it. Greenie gets the points. However, if you play a word you know is a word but their dictionary doesn't have it, too bad for you. You get no points. There is no way to challenge the decision in either case. Also, if a word you play can be common or proper (dunkers, for example), the game's default response is 'not allowed;' but Greeenie bot often plays proper nouns and sometimes even capitalized abbreviations and acronyms! Don't you try it, though. The bot will not allow it. If Scrabble were available for mac, I would probably delete this game. Until then, it will do.

  Been playing for years and they keep on improving it. Best word game app available. Only improvement - thanks to the ‘rematch’ option I play the same people time and time again, would be great if in addition to 'overall stats' there was a ‘stats vs. individual opponent’ feature. Keep up the good work!

  This is a great game to increase one's vocabulary! (Some games are meant to be played just for fun, but do not especially improve any particular skill.) However, this game is helpful for students or anyone who wants to better their writing skills.
